The club was founded in 1947 and was built on the volunteer labor of its members. Tuscarora specializes in shotgun sports (sorry, no rifles or pistols!) and offers 6 trap fields, a skeet range and a 5-stand. The club was established to encourage organized clay target shooting and fosters the development of patriotism, honesty, good fellowship, self-discipline, team play, and personal responsibility.
Club members have full access to the facility including use of a spacious clubhouse. Guests are welcome to use the facility during normal business hours and are welcome to host events at the club for a nominal donation. Annual club activities include hosting multiple Amateur Trapshooting Association (ATA) registered shoots per year as well as an annual member picnic and Holiday party. Other events are scheduled on an ad-hoc basis for nominal fees.
Tuscarora does not provide or lease guns or ammunition. All members and guests are required to wear eye and ear protection and all guns not in use must visibly show an open chamber, no exceptions. Safety is a priority at Tuscarora, any member or guest not exercising proper gun control or adhering to Tuscarora safety requirements will be asked to leave.
